Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 May 2026
Welcome to Climb Hub. By using our service you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. Use of Service
Climb Hub is a social platform for the climbing community. You must be 13 years or older to use this service. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
2. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Climb Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content within the platform, and — where you explicitly initiate it (see "Branded sharing off-platform" below) — to render and distribute a branded copy of that content via your device's operating system share menu. You must not post content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes third-party rights.
Branded sharing off-platform: when you tap "Share video" on a beta video, you authorise Climb Hub to render a branded version of that video (with our intro, watermark, and outro) and return it to your device for sharing through your operating system's share menu. By initiating such a share you confirm that:
- You have all necessary rights to distribute the video and any people, brands, or audio it contains off-platform, including to messaging apps, social networks, file storage, email, and any other destination available in your device's share menu.
- Once a branded video has been sent via your share menu, the recipient and the platform you sent it to are outside Climb Hub's control. We cannot recall, delete, or revoke copies that have already been distributed off-platform, and deletion of the original beta video on Climb Hub does not delete copies that recipients have saved or re-shared.
- The branded video has no copy protection. Recipients may re-share it freely, including to audiences and platforms you did not originally select. Only initiate branded sharing for content you are comfortable being distributed publicly and indefinitely.
- You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party platform you choose to share the branded video to (for example, the recipient app's content rules or the destination network's community standards).
Beta videos: "beta" is climbing slang for the sequence and technique used to send a route. The Climb Hub Beta video feature lets you share short climbing-tip videos with the community. The following rules apply to beta videos:
- Maximum length 60 seconds; maximum file size 75 MB.
- You must own or have all necessary rights to every part of the video, including the audio track. Do not include copyrighted music — Climb Hub has no music licensing arrangements, and uploading a track you do not have rights to may result in the video being removed and your account being suspended.
- If you tie a beta video to a specific climb, you confirm the video genuinely depicts beta for that climb and you accept that the climb's setter, owner, or gym admin may request removal if the video is misleading or misattributed.
- Climb Hub may remove any beta video that violates these Terms, infringes third-party rights, or is reported and confirmed to be inappropriate.
3. Account Security
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately at climb.hub.the.app@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Copyright Complaints (DMCA Notice & Takedown)
Climb Hub respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Climb Hub infringes your copyright, send a written notice to climb.hub.the.app@gmail.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice" containing:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- The URL or in-app location of the allegedly infringing content (e.g. a beta video link, post ID, or username).
- Your contact information (name, email, phone, address).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will investigate every valid notice and may remove the content while we do. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email.
7. Business Listings

10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you within the app. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Climb Hub operates.
